Swim Lessons

For the last two weeks Rylie has been taking swim lessons at the city pool here in Weatherford. It's a parent-child (one of us is in the water with him at all times) class that is focused on getting the child more comfortable with and in the water. Rylie has done well, although he really prefers to do his own thing rather than listen to the instructor. (We were shocked too). Today's lesson was a bit more challenging...jumping off the diving board and riding the slide. Overall Rylie did great. None of the small children really jumped off the board, more like walked off the board. Rylie made several trips into the water via the diving board and managed to do so without swallowing too much water. The slide was a bit more daunting for him, although he managed to make it down successfully twice. We were very proud of him for his efforts today. Tomorrow is the last day of class, and another day on the boards and slides. I'm sure he'll manage to make us proud yet again. He is on his way to being a little lake baby...big boy. Now we just have to get a boat, which he tells us all the time! Oh Rylie...if only it were that easy.
